In this episode, we delve into the recent controversy surrounding a proposed amendment to the federal budget bill that aimed to sell over 500,000 acres of public land in Utah and Nevada, including areas adjacent to Zion National Park. Introduced by Representatives Mark Amodei (R-NV) and Celeste Maloy (R-UT), the amendment faced swift backlash from conservationists, outdoor enthusiasts, and bipartisan lawmakers who feared it could set a dangerous precedent for future land sales.
